Seruni was born in late 1995, a year after Bramadjie Soetedja married Diana Halim, uniting two powerful lineages. Growing up in one of Indonesia’s wealthiest families, Seruni was seen by many as a child of privilege, seemingly destined to inherit her family’s legacy. Yet, beneath the silver-spoon image, her childhood was far from idyllic. With parents absorbed in the world of high-stakes business, Seruni’s life revolved around wealth rather than family warmth. Her father, Bramadjie, equated love with financial provision, placing status above sentiment.By her teenage years, Seruni was expected to embody the Soetedja legacy, especially since her younger brother rejected any role in the family business. With her father’s company in decline, Seruni took up the mantle, working alongside her mother, Diana, to restore their family’s reputation and rebuild the empire torn apart by her father’s business missteps. Yet, her sacrifices came at a cost: her own aspirations were pushed aside to meet familial expectations.In 2020, after a six-year relationship, Seruni married Lingga Ganendra. Their union marked a turning point for her. With her husband’s support and the birth of their daughter, Tarisha Belia Putri Ganendra, in 2021, Seruni found herself wanting something beyond the confines of her family’s obligations. This newfound clarity led her to an important decision: she would leave the family business and forge her own path.Seruni’s passion had always been fashion—a world far removed from the rigid structures of her family’s empire. Drawing on her background as a business graduate, she partnered with her cousin Rachelta, ventured into the fashion industry, creating a denim brand called THESÊRA, which officially launched at the end of 2023.Beyond her passion for fashion, Seruni’s heart was dedicated to social causes. In 2021, she founded RUMAHRAMAH, a shelter for women and children affected by domestic and international violence, providing them a safe space and comprehensive recovery support. Through this initiative, Seruni emerged as a fierce advocate for vulnerable communities, balancing her roles as a mother, businesswoman, and humanitarian.
